Live Remote Broadcast Coordinator

Stadium is seeking a proactive, sharp Remote Operations Coordinator to support the Director of Remote Operations in the organization and managing of all daily remote operations and production resources for STADIUM-produced mobile unit sporting events.  This position will help organize STADIUM remote productions aiding in preparation, execution and oversight of STADIUM linear and streamed sports.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist as liaison with production companies/mobile units production companies requirements
  • Assisting production, producers, directors, and staff to arrange for and carryout all production services, vendor services, and other specific needs as tailored for each broadcast
  • Assist in communicating needs with schools
  • Assist with remote transmission
  • Assist in coordinating with school IT staff at remote venues to ensure high quality transmission capabilities.
  • Assist with coordinating on site equipment and services for remote sporting event broadcasts
  • Assist in coordinating remote operation strategies and procedures.
  • Support Live Events Team in assessing and evaluating crews both before, during and after productions
  • Support crewing responsibilities for department
  • Support and monitor quality control on all events as needed including following all check-in procedures, formats and SOP’s
  • Assist department in coordinating all graphics and production elements needs for live remote, ensuring they get to site in proper format
  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems and inform the necessary parties about any resulting schedule changes or problems
  • Assist in executing IC, Vendor and Talent contracts from start to finish.
  • Ensure that all staff and freelance employees comply with company polices in relation to documentation, accountability and workflow responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with talent on all travel booking and logistics
  • Assist remote operations department with all financial matters from remote games
  • Assist in maintaining event remote budgets
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a remote sports production environment
  • Experience working in a mobile production unit
  • Basic working understanding of the sports production/operations processes
  • Basic familiarity regarding technological advances relative to remote sports production
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at remote site
  • Strong organizational skills, initiative and an ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including, nights, weekends and holidays.

STADIUM is owned by a collection of industry leaders including Silver Chalice, Sinclair, MLBAM, the NHL, the PGA TOUR, and Time, Inc. and will launch later this Summer 2017.
