Job Summary

Stadium, a digital sports network company is looking for a Part-time Production Assistant (PA) to help in creating industry-leading made-for-digital video programs covering all professional and college sports for distribution on mobile, online and other digital platforms.

Production Assistants will work under the direction of Supervising Producers and Producers to perform all tasks needed to help in creating engaging daily programming.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Research and story development
  • Video logging and creating highlight shot-sheets
  • Creation of game recaps and other stories based on daily assignments
  • Working closely with editors
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the sports landscape
  • Social media interaction and integration into program formats

Minimum Requirements

  • Education – Seeking a degree in Digital Media, Broadcasting, Journalism or equivalent work experience
  • Experience – entry-level, 0-3 years of experience
  • Production skills, creating original video for digital platforms preferred
  • Excellent communicator
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of multiple sports a must
  • Driven by challenges and committed to seeing tasks through to completion
  • Self-motivated, yet a team player who can work well under peer supervision
  • Hard working, willing to work non-traditional hours and weekends a must

Working Environment

Physical/mental demands of the position (i.e., lifting up to 20 pounds of camera equipment, bending/stooping/kneeling to set up production studio, etc.)

Stadium includes a 24/7 linear feed distributed across both digital and broadcast platforms, as well as a comprehensive array of on demand content including additional live events and VOD highlights accessible via owned and operated STADIUM platforms and select distribution partners.

Stadium was formed when Campus Insiders, 120 Sports and The American Sports Network combined forces to take advantage of a combined collection of professional and collegiate rights and unique access to both digital and television distribution opportunities. STADIUM is owned by a collection of industry leaders including Silver Chalice, Sinclair, MLBAM, the NHL, the PGA TOUR, and Time, Inc. and will launch later this Summer 2017.
